Must-Have Blogging Resources
After 2 years of blogging, I’ve made some hits and misses along the way (I might have purchased more Pinterest courses than necessary). And that’s why I am here today so that you know exactly where to invest your money and what are the best blogging resources for 2021.
Let’s start with the resources that really made a difference this past year.
Tailwind is my all-time favorite blogging tool. It’s a Pinterest and Instagram approved scheduler that allows you to schedule your pins/posts at optimal times. Not only does Tailwind save you a ton of time with your Pinterest marketing strategy, but the average Tailwind user also gets 6.9x more repins than manual pinners!
Listen, there is a reason 90% of bloggers out there will recommend your BlueHost and you will always find it recommended in any other best blogging resources list. It works super well and their customer service is outstanding. I wrote an entire post on why I love BlueHost here.
ConvertKit is the email marketing service that I use and love. It’s made by bloggers, for bloggers (and it shows). It’s super easy to collect emails with ConvertKit, to set up funnels, and to segment your subscribers to different categories.
FREE Alternative: MAILCHIMP
With this said, if you don’t currently have a budget for email marketing, MailChimp (which is completely free for up to 2,000 subscribers) works perfectly well too. It’s not as advanced, but it gets the job done.
No post of mine is ever published without going into Grammarly first. This freemium tool is awesome and I never felt the need to upgrade since the free version works well enough for my needs. You can also install a Grammarly plugin and this way, it can help you with your emails on the go.
Ezoic was how I first started making steady money with my blog. They are the best premium ad platform that I recommend for new bloggers, as they pay much better than Google Ads (I’ve been gaining a steady 500 euros a month from Ezoic ads alone, which is not bad).
The typical RPM’s that you’ll see on Ezoic are about $6-$10 as opposed to $2-4 on Google Adsense (I get days where I make almost 25 euros from Ezoic in a single day).
Plus I really love their support with all my heart. I feel as if they were my friends and I always look forward to who of them will be answering my emails.
>> Kindly note that you need to have a minimum of 10,000 visits/month to apply.
Payoneer allows publishers outside of the USA to open an online US bank account – this is sometimes needed in order to get paid by affiliates programs. I use Payoneer to get paid by Ezoic and it works seamlessly.)
By far the one of the best blogging resources that are free. Once you understand GA, you will get addicted to reading your statistics. It is honestly so cool to understand the data and act thoughtfully as opposed to guessing what will work with your audience.
I know understanding data can make your head spin, but don’t be scared of Google Analytics. Give it a go and slowly you’ll understand how it works. Plus, it is FREE!
Fiverr is the best place to find quality service on a budget (i.e. the place for bloggers and sole-entrepreneurs). They offer any type of service your heart may desire, from SEO to Graphic Design, cartoonists, and even people to write your blog posts for you.
Canva is a free tool that can be used to create images, Pinterest pins, graphics, PDFs, and more. However, Canva Pro has been game-changing and I recommend it to every blogger that listens. I love it so much that I have written an entire Canva Pro review here.
Premium blog templates. The one you see. They are great and offer fantastic customer service. I managed to build my entire website layout on WordPress from scratch simply by following their step-by-step instructions.
(If I could do it, anyone can).
Want to sell your own products? SendOwl is the best platform to host your digital products.
FREE Alternative – WOOCOMMERCE
You can sell your own products on your website completely free of charge using WooCommerce (however, kindly note that users have experienced better conversions with SendOwl than with Woocommerce).
CoSCHEDULE HEADLINE ANALYZER
This headline analyzer tool is great for determining how good your headlines. Headlines are the most important part of your whole blog post, so I always use this tool before hitting publish
The best place for FREE stock photos for every niche. I used PixaBay religiously when I first started blogging and it has done me wonders I highly recommend it if you don’t have a budget to invest in paid stock images
However, if you want to take your blog, email marketing, and graphic design to the next level, you’ll need to eventually invest in a site for stock images. The best one for high-quality images in every niche is Deposit Photo. I LOVE their images (the only problem is not wasting hours upon hours browsing through them)
Feminine, stock images (90% of the images you see in this blog). I love how elegant and tasteful their photos are and I always catch myself excited for a new weekly batch.
TINY PNG – FREE
There is not one photo that I upload to my blog which I don’t use TinyPNG. It is a free tool that minimizes your images by up to 85% without damaging the pixels and overall image quality.
ShareASale is my favorite affiliate network because it is to me the easiest to use (and the one that has the best merchants – after RewardStyle of course). Once accepted into ShareASale, applying to other networks is as easy and convenient as a click.
Then you wait a few days (depending on the merchant) and see if you got approved (usually yes), or not (and you can try again on another occasion).

RewardStyle is an affiliate program for fashion, beauty, and home decor bloggers. To be considered as a RewardStyle candidate, you need to have at least 4 months of consistent blogging content.
Lucky for you, I can help you out a little with your application process (getting referred by another blogger who’s already using the platform will greatly increase your chances of getting accepted). I got Cris into RewardStyle, for example.
Send me an email on [email protected] with the subject line ‘RewardStyle Party’ with your blog or Instagram URL and I can put you ahead of the waiting list (note that I can’t promise you’ll get accepted, but it will for sure increase your chances).
Probably the most important aspects of the best blogging resources, SEO is what kept my blog alive and standing when Pinterest decided to turn its back on me.
Don’t overlook SEO. You might be surprised with how much traffic you get from Google.
Yoast SEO is a WordPress plugin that is perfect for SEO dummies/beginners. It keeps you aware of what is missing and how to best optimize your blog post for Google success. It is so easy even your grandma could learn SEO with Yoast.
Have you ever heard of Neil Patel? Did you know he literally made a Free SEO tool for bloggers and creators like you and me? (thanks Neil). Uber Suggest works wonders and I find it very user-friendly. It is free for up to 5 searches a day, but that is more than enough when you’re just starting with SEO.
Whenever you’re ready to go to the next level, you have to try KeySearch. I found out about them in the golden days when they were free. Now, you can get access to some free information (such as commonly used search terms) but if you want to know about volume and competition, you’ll need to pay, (and it’s 100% worth it)!
An alternative to Keysearch (the one I use). I love LTP because they also include training videos for SEO (how to find the best keywords; how to use SEO for best results; SEO tips, etc). It is invaluable to me since when I paid for LTP I was also looking into buying an SEO course (win-win).
We can never get enough SEO recommendations right?
SEMrush is an SEO tool that does your keyword research, tracks the keyword strategy used by your competition, runs an SEO audit of your blog, looks for backlinks opportunities, and lots more. It’s expensive, but 100% worth it and trusted by marketers around the world.

Recommended eBook & Courses for Bloggers
Don’t make the same mistakes as I did and forget to track your income (and expenses). Trust me, this will make a huge difference in your life.
This eBook is a guide to helping new and established bloggers increase their blog traffic. It was y first book on how to increase my blog traffic and it slowly turned into something of a bible for me. Every so often, I go back to it both for inspiration and to refresh my memory.
This master list is a database of 500+ affiliate programs in over 17 different niches, giving bloggers a wide range of products and services to promote so they can increase their affiliate sales.
This course came together with 2019’s Ultimate Bundles and I am so glad it did because it blew my mind. This online video course is designed to help bloggers and first-time authors write, format, publish, and successfully launch their eBooks. It covers both self-publishing on your own platform and getting your eBook listed on Amazon. My favorite part is the tips on how to work efficiently when trying to comply with a book deadline.
These are the best blogging resources that I have to recommend.
Again, I know this might get overwhelming so take deep breath and don’t stress to much over which one to buy first.
For you convenience, I have created a beautiful eBook guide of this post with this information for you to download for free and decide later what are the resources you will want to use.
