How To Get Perfect Beachy Waves Hair
Hi girls? How are you today?
Looking for ways to maintain your beachy waves hair looking beautiful and lasting all day?
Be it at the beach or at home, the careless beach hair always gives an extra charm to the appearance.
The famous beachy waves are what most women want and the good news is that it is easier than you think to get them.
Whether your hair is long, medium, or short, or if it is thick, thin or you’re bald, it really doesn’t matter
(well, maybe if you’re bald it will be harder to make curls).
Today you’ll see just how EASY it is to reach the perfect beachy hair waves with the right products and proper manner of usage.
What is the beach waves hair?
You’ll have to think hard to come up with a hairstyle more beloved by women all over the world than beach waves hair.
Simply put, it’s versatile and universally flattering.
My Personal Experience Trying to Achieve the Perfect Beachy Waves Hair
I myself have thin, delicate hair and always had a hard time curling my hair in a way that lasts.
However, I learned many tricks that can hold up any hair!
I know for a FACT that there are many girls out there like me, who wish to style their hair and groom themselves better on a daily basis.
However, they probably don’t do it simply because they are totally clueless towards how to go on about it.
With that in mind, I came up with 7 valuable tips that will help you model and conquer perfect and lasting waves!
8 Tricks to Achieveing Perfect Beach Waves Hair
Trick # 1) Prepare Your Hair with a Mousse
Preparing hair before curling is paramount!
The best way to use it is to start by applying a layer of mousse on the strands.
To avoid an oily appearance, be sure to apply the hair mousse only to the tips while avoiding the root.
Once you’re done, comb it through so that the product will spread equally throughout the hair.
Trick #2 Add some texture (that has hair heat protection)
Quality texture and volume sprays will be your best friends in this process
(plus a light fixing spray for those who do not hold the waves much).
As you apply the spray, run your fingers through the hair to create a more natural result.
This also allows the product not to weigh on the strands.
When trying to achieve beach waves or any natural looking hair texture, the biggest mistake you can make is being afraid of making mistakes.
Nothing should be too perfect or symmetrical.
Don’t be afraid to try layering products either.
Also, don’t forget to protect your hair!!
Heat protection is super, duper important and should never be overlooked.
I have been using this great heat protector for years.
What I love about it is that it doesn’t leave my hair feeling heavy (and the smell, of course).
Trick #3 Bring the Beach to You
If you don’t go to the beach, bring the beach to you!
I am of course talking about salt spray, which plays an important role for the right texture of beach hair.
The most famous one by far is the Bumble and Bumble Salt Spray:
If you have very fine hair, a salt spray may be a great approach to try and can be especially handy.
How to apply salt spray correctly: For that post-sea hair effect, apply the spray to wet hair and then dry the strands lightly, so it looks like the hair has dried naturally after entering the sea.
If you feel that the strands are too dry, apply a little oil to give a shine.
Trick #4 Avoid Uniform-Looking Waves
If you will use a hair wand, the trick to make it look like natural beach waves is to try not to curl your hair always in the same direction.
To achieve that natural result, make sure that each strand has a different and non-uniform curl.
If your hair is already wavy, but you want to improve the natural strands, dry your hair naturally only with your fingers and make the curls into random sections of the hair.
Once you’re done, shake your head so that the wicks open and finish off with hairspray.
Trick #5 Soften Your Hair Ends
The secret to lasting waves is to let the hair cool down before combing it through.
This will ultimately give you’re a more natural and lasting look.
Leaving the tips smooth is also a good trick to achieve the perfect beach.
When making your curls with a wand or hair iron, be sure to leave the tips out, to give it a straight style.
Secondly, when releasing the locks of the hair, pull down to loosen the strands.
Finally, swipe your fingers along the entire length and make a mess of the wires.
If you feel you need more texture, it’s worth applying some dry shampoo!
Finalize by running a bit of hair oil to the ends of your hair to keep it hydrated and to guarantee extra hair shine.
For years I’ve been using this one which I am absolutely obsessed with.
Alternatively, this is a very popular (and cheaper) option or hair oil that I also recommend.
If you like DIY and natural products, then coconut oil will always be the winner on my list.
Trick #6 Use a Hair Ion (or a Hair Wand)
In addition to the hair wand, you can also create the waves with a flat iron.
The secret is to slide the board by length making the movement of “S” and keep alternating until you reach the end of the length.
I personally use this amazing 3-in-1 Paul Mitchell’s hair wand that I bought on Amazon and it has worked super well for me.
This to say, I myself am not a pro in using a flat iron to create beach waves hair.
With that in mind, I found this great video demonstrating the step by step to achieving beach waves hair with a flat iron.

Trick #7 Make The Hair Waves At Night and Go to Sleep
You’ll probably be surprised that the best wavy hair is the next day hair!
Do your curls and go to sleep. When you wake up the waves will be perfectly messy.
An easier alternative that doesn’t require hair tools is to wrap the damp hair in two low buns or braids and let it dry like this.
Let go in the morning and voilà!
Beach waves with minimal effort.
Trick #8 Watch a Beach Waves Tutorial
