In this post: Find a selection of essentials for a cozy night in so that you live your best life when the weather outside is miserable.
Be it if it’s a lazy Monday or a rainy Friday, there are plenty of ways to have fun at home when it’s cold outside (even when we are 100% alone).
In fact, I welcome some much-needed alone time every so often and I try to have one of these pampered days once a month (adapting during the hot summer months, of course)

Essentials for a Cozy Night In When It’s Chilly
We all look forward to the weekend to unwind, relax, and give ourselves some much-needed self-care time, especially during this time of the year when the weather is starting to cool down.
Now more than ever we are welcoming the season change and still excited for the cold weather.
There are so many fun things to do at home when Autumn finally arrives.
Some of my favorite things to do on my lazy days are making my dad’s pancake recipes for breakfast, reading a good book in my Kindle, and spending most of my time watching Netflix under the blanket with Cris.
And to ensure the ambiance is extra-cozy, I love spraying some Fall essential oils which helps give my home a warm, comforting scent.
As we don’t have cold weather in my home country, I particularly get super excited to wear wool socks and drink tea, to the point where I became a kind of a coziness pro by now.
With that in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you girls some of my essentials for a cozy night at home.
When I enjoy a relaxing weekend at home, I always have these essentials on hand, so I am confident they will also spark joy to you too (yes, I quote Marie Kondo now).

Comfy Pajamas
Say goodbyes to wearing slouchy clothes at home. Now after the quarantine obliged us to stay home more than we ever wanted, I have learned a thing or two about looking good at home (and comfy, I might add)– even when you work from home full-time.
I spend most of the time in them anyway so comfort is a necessity. And, as readers of La Belle Society, you also know that paying attention to looking elegant is equally important.

A Scented Candle
An essential candle to set the mood of relaxation and calmness. Nothing beats lighting a candle at the end of a busy day, even if it to watch a movie or simply to read a book.
A Good Book
Ah yes, as a good bookworm, no list will ever be complete without a few book recommendations.
While I do like to binge-watch a Netflix show, movie reviews on YouTube, or a rematch favorite classics on Disney+, I do cut away an hour of the day to dedicating myself to reading a good book.
Right now I’m currently The Dance of Anger, Choosing a Simple Luxurious Life and Modern Etiquette Made Easy.
PS – if you are struggling to pick up your reading habits, I talk about 2 great tips on how to read more (and more efficiently) on this post.
A Soft Blanket
I have about ten of these. If you don’t have at least one, I’m judging you…. (even if you live in Brazil because they are amazing under the AC)
Knitted Socks
Gotta have The coziest pair of socks when laying in bed (and if they look cute and fun, even better).
Tip: An easy and cheap way to join the seasonal fun is by buying holiday-themed knitted socks, such as ones with Turkey face or Reindeer noses.
An Elegant Tea Set
The moment you start drinking tea from an elegant tea set, you will understand how important these little luxuries are in life. Self-care is just about the experience as the end-results, in my opinion.
Sheet Masks
I’m a sucker for sheet masks. I probably have about 100 right now in the bathroom just waiting to be used and I will probably buy 100 more before these are done with.
You can never have too many sheet masks, am I right?
A Pair of Slippers
I gotta keep my toes warm and toasty when on the move around our flat. I love how these plush slippers are getting popular again. They feel so fabulous.
A Soft Robe
Love to snug up in this when moving around the house. Say goodbye to your silk summer robes and take out a much softer (and warmer) fabric.
A Warm Sweater
For added warmth and comfort, a chunky knit is a must! I’ll sometimes live in this all weekend. Plus they give the couch a very inviting look.
A Relaxing Soap
It’s the only time of the week I can enjoy a nice bath feeling fully relaxed. Take the time to really clean your skin with a good soap. My personal favorite scents are either Lavender or Lemongrass.
A Beauty Tool
Be if a trendy Jade Roller, a deep-cleaning Foreo Luna, or even the ever so luxurious Ice Globes, you don’t want to have a relaxing day without at least one of these lux beauty care items.
